Urgent Need Clean Ups
We have been working with Solve's Detrash Portland initiative to bring some ongoing events to East Portland's Lents Community this Spring.
Our focus will be the 205 Multi-Use Path between Powell and Foster Rd. and the neighborhoods directly related to that area.

"Solve is hosting an Urgent Need cleanup with PDX Saints Love in the southeast Lents neighborhood. We will be meeting in front of Walker Stadium where the Pickles play.
SOLVE defines an Urgent Need cleanup as an area with a high concentration of litter that poses a threat to public safety and environmental quality.
Urgent Need cleanups not family friendly or suitable for anyone under the age of 18 due to an increased presence of hazardous materials. Safety guidelines will be put in place before the cleanup begins.
During this cleanup, you will work with SOLVE staff in a small groups to clean up the trash in the area around Lents Park and the I-205 multi-use path.
When: Friday, March 17th, 2023. 1pm-3pm
Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting in the parking lot in front of Walker Stadium.

What to Bring: If you bring personal belongings please bring a backpack so you can pick up trash hands-free. Wear heavy duty work boots and long pants. This event will happen rain or shine, so please dress for the weather if rain is on the forecast.
What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests. We will also provide water bottles so volunteers can stay hydrated.
Parking/Getting There: Free street parking is available at this location.
Restrooms: There will be bathrooms available at the check in spot.
Accessibility: This event will take place primarily on city streets and sidewalks that are paved.
Youth Volunteers: This will be a 18 and older event due to the expected increased amounts of hazardous materials that we will find at this location.
