A few updates about resources during this heat wave.

Cooling centers are open today, July 21, 2026, from noon to 9 p.m.Location:  Bud Clark Commons: 650 N.W. Irving St., Portland

• ADA accessible. Pets welcome.
• No one will be turned away. 
• Call 2-1-1 for transportation help. Trimet allows free rides to cooling centers (trimet.org/planner) 

• Visit the County’s “Help for When It’s Hot” website (multco.us/hot) for heat safety steps, signs of illness, and tips or other places to stay cool, including an interactive map of other nearby outdoor cooling spaces, splash pads and libraries 

🔥There also may be some smoke today and tomorrow. Wildfire smoke can travel long distances and is harmful to your health. During smoke events, public health officials may advise residents to stay indoors, keep smoke out by closing doors and windows, and run a high efficiency air cleaner.
