The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch from Thursday, July 4, through Sunday, July 7. Temperatures could reach or exceed 100 degrees on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Saturday is forecast to be the hottest day, with potentially record-breaking temperatures above 110 degrees and overnight lows unlikely to drop below 65 degrees.
