"Journey to $50k" Fundraising Campaign for Community Health and Belonging.

 Join us in continuing the work towards health, recovery, housing, and belonging. There are many tiers to take partnership with us. From becoming a $20,000 sponsor to becoming a faithful supporter at $100.

 Drop in hours 4 days a week. 

Serves approximately 2,000 individual meals a month, and over 25,000 meals this last year. 

• Included: Hot meal, free haircuts, showers, laundry, clothing, ID replacement, shelter/detox referrals, housing navigation, connect to healthcare. 

• Community Health Workers and Peer Support on site to interact and help remove barriers for neighbors.

• Developing relationships, creating belonging, connecting to care.

 East Portland Community Wellness Fairs (twice a week)

• Serves 2500-3000 (housed/unhoused) yearly.
• Included: Hot meal, free hair cuts, showers, clothing, ID replacement, shelter/detox referrals, OH Assistance, substance use recovery, housing navigation.
• Community Health Workers and Peer Support on site to interact and help remove barriers for neighbors.
• Collaboration with many community based organizations like Great Circle Recovery, Cultivate Initiatives, Our Streets,  MHAAO and more.

 Our Community Health Workers and Peer Support Specialists work with individuals towards short term shelter and long term stable housing.

The process for both has proven to be difficult, especially for individuals without stable phone service or locations. Our CHWs assist in the Coordinated Housing Entry process, filling out applications, assisting in obtaining required documents, transportation to orientations, apartment applications, and even move-ins and supportive services.

Our goal is to lower or eliminate any barriers an individual or family may have to obtaining long term stable housing.

 Through our work, we have the privilege of meeting individuals who have a desire to work on recovery from substance use, childhood trauma, complex PTSD, and many other barriers. 

We have developed a mentorship program to walk with them through first volunteering, hiring, training in community work, financially sponsoring certifications, providing training in Mental Health First Aid, Trauma Informed Care, De-escalation Training, Wound Care, and more.

This program's end goal is to guide individuals through the process of becoming Community Health Workers and Peer Support Specialists, where they now can use lived experience towards a career that also lends to the community around them.
