Resident Services Coordinator

Part-Time (20 Hours per Week)
$25.00 per Hour
Location: 82nd and Glisan, Portland, Oregon


About PDX Saints Love

PDX Saints Love is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to fostering belonging, housing stability, wellness, and community connection. Through trauma-informed, person-centered services, we support individuals and families in building stronger, healthier communities.


We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Resident Services Coordinator to provide supportive services and community-building opportunities for residents living at a 95-unit affordable housing community with a preference for artists.


Position Summary

The Resident Services Coordinator serves as a consistent and welcoming presence within the the community. This position provides information and referral services, supports residents in accessing community resources, coordinates events and programming, promotes housing stability, and works collaboratively with property management to address resident needs. The position includes approximately 16 hours per week of on-site resident engagement and office hours.


Essential Responsibilities

Resident Support & Case Management

  • Provide information, referrals, and resource navigation to residents.
  • Support residents in accessing healthcare, behavioral health, food assistance, employment, education, and other community resources.
  • Assist residents in identifying and addressing barriers that may impact housing stability.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of resident interactions and services provided.
  • Utilize trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive practices.


Community Building & Programming

  • Coordinate a minimum of two resident events or programs each month focused on:
    • Arts and creativity
    • Health and wellness
    • Lifelong learning
    • Community building
    • Food access
  • Collaborate with community partners to enhance programming opportunities.
  • Support resident-led initiatives and foster community engagement.


Outreach & Communication

  • Maintain regular office hours for resident drop-in support.
  • Create and distribute monthly newsletters, calendars, and outreach materials.
  • Publicize community events, resources, and opportunities available to residents.


Collaboration & Housing Stability

  • Meet regularly with property management to discuss resident needs and coordinate supportive responses.
  • Identify emerging concerns and proactively connect residents with appropriate resources and supports.
  • Maintain professional boundaries while building trusting relationships with residents.


Reporting & Documentation

  • Track participation and outcomes related to services and programming.
  • Prepare monthly reports, including event participation and community engagement data.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation in accordance with organizational standards.


Required Qualifications

  • Case management experience required (housing, behavioral health, social services, peer support, community health, or related fields).
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing poverty, housing instability, behavioral health challenges, or other barriers to stability.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Experience coordinating groups, events, or community programming.
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs including email, Microsoft Office, and/or Google Workspace.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Community Health Worker, Peer Support Specialist, Social Service, or related background.
  • Knowledge of Portland-area resources and service systems.
  • Experience working in affordable housing or supportive housing environments.
  • Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move throughout the property and attend community events.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed.


Compensation & Schedule

  • $25.00 per hour
  • 20 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule with some evening events required
